Underwater Construction Corporation (UCC) is proud to announce its continued expansion into the upper Midwest Region. The move is part of UCC’s strategic expansion whereby extending its reach into the Midwest for commercial diving and marine construction services. UCC’s original Wisconsin location was located in Cudahy Wisconsin; however UCC quickly recognized a growing need to provide their commercial dive services to the upper Midwest market and established a new larger upgraded office located at 2757 South 5th Court in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The company already maintains offices in Michigan, Connecticut and Tennessee. UCC will continue to provide the same levels of dive services including inspection, maintenance, construction, and technical support for the greater upper Midwest territory.
Griffin Eckert has been announced as the Wisconsin Operations Manager for the Milwaukee office. Griffin has more than a decade of dive experience throughout the United States.
After obtaining a BS from The University of Miami in 2000 with majors in Marine Science, Physics and Applied Mathematics, Mr. Eckert attended The Canadian Working Diver’s Institute in Buckhorn Ontario. Griffin began his career as a diver/tender for UCC gaining field experience. He eventually left to be an instructor at the College of Oceaneering for a couple of years, before returning to UCC, where he was promoted up through the ranks.
Throughout Griffin’s commercial diving career, he excelled in many areas. Anywhere from hydroelectric dam services, to performing Level II VT-1/VT-3 coating inspections for the nuclear power generation industry. As the Wisconsin Operations Manager, Griffin’s main focus is on project safety, performance and customer service.
