Underwater Construction Corporation (UCC) has begun its support of the spring 2013 Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) Refueling Outage Season. UCC’s Director of Global Nuclear Services, Philip G. McDermott, has announced that UCC will support an unprecedented 27 of 34 NPP outages between February and May 2013.

Drawing from more than 200 full-time field employees, UCC will provide General and Contaminated Diving Teams, Reactor Service Technicians, Project Management and Dry Cask Storage Supervisors and Technicians. UCC’s customers will benefit from more than 40+ years of specialized services including underwater coating inspection / repair and underwater stainless steel welding.

UCC’s three regional offices in Tennessee, Michigan, and Connecticut routinely work in unison to provide ongoing and emergent support to the US Nuclear Fleet while simultaneously supporting the largest non-nuclear customer base in the US.
