Mr. McDermott has more than 35 years of experience in the commercial diving and nuclear power industry. During this time, he’s worked exclusively for Underwater Construction Corporation (UCC) being of service in various roles.
He initially represented the company in the field from Diver to Senior Project Manager and has ascended to the position of Vice President, Global Nuclear Services. In addition to his senior role, he’s also the Chief Operating Officer of Underwater Construction Corporation UK Ltd since its inception in 2015.
Mr. McDermott is responsible for nuclear and non-nuclear projects in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic United States, as well as global nuclear projects in Canada, Central and South America, Asia, Europe, and Russia.
In addition to his Vice President responsibilities, Mr. McDermott has been an influential member of UCC’s Executive Leadership Group since 2004 where he supports corporate strategy, project controls, supply chain, and business development initiatives.
