During the summer of 2012 UCC was contracted to perform underwater inspections on the Mackinac Bridge connecting Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsula. UCC‘s certified,
National Highway Institute, Bridge Inspection Team performed inspections on multiple piers in depths up to 140 feet.

Two of UCC’s custom dive vessels accompanied by deep dive equipment including on site mixed gas systems and double lock decompression chambers assisted with the inspection. UCC’s deep dive and safety oversight was on site to assure each dive was carried out safely and effectively to the highest ACDI and governing standards.
