Mr. Nichols has over 32 years of experience in the commercial diving and the power industry, all of which has been with Underwater Construction Corporation. Mr. Nichols graduated in 1985 from Florida Institute of Technology with an A.S. Degree in Ocean Sciences. He hired on with Underwater Construction Corporation in 1986 as a diver, was promoted to Foreman in 1991, and subsequently assigned as Project Manager on several of UCC’s international re-racking projects.
In 1995, he joined the senior management team when Mr. Nichols was promoted to International Operations Manager and Business Development Manager. Following the transition from RUST to UCC in 1996, and he assumed the role of Sales and Marketing Manager.
In 1999, James was promoted to Estimating Manager and to Director of Finance in 2014. In 2015 he helped establish Underwater Construction UK LTD and secured several NEC3 springboard contracts in support of the decommissioning market in the European union. In 2018 he was promoted to Vice President of Finance, and is currently responsible for managing PR, AP, AR, HR, and all estimating and contracts in all UCC divisions.
